What I've Been Doing.....and Thank You!

Well, it's been a long couple of weeks - not just getting ready for yesterday's
wonderful experience at setting up a vintage craft sale but also getting
my blog back in order.  Happy to say both ventures were successful!

Here's just a little teaser of what we took to the sale.  During the next few
days I will update the blog with pictures aplenty - thanks to the fabulous
visitors who so generously shared their photos.  You know if you are a vendor
how hard it is to set up, mix and mingle and take photos.  Add to that actually
organizing the event....phew.....let's just say today was truly a day of rest
in our house catching up from the frenzied prep of last week!

This beautiful little "table for two" sold at the sale (including the charger plates
that were part of my staging)....I will show and tell you a little more about
how this little set came together in a later post - along with my successful
venture into blending chalkpaint.

This stool went to the same home.....

Bad blogger that I am - I can't find a picture of this chair before it sold
but the person who bought it sent me this photo of it in it's new home! Yeah!
Thanks Carmen!

There was more and I will share photos of the beautiful venue......thanks
again to everyone who came out!

And to our vendors
who took a chance on us!
Mirella, Biscotti Di Notte & More
Shelley, Shell Fairy Treasures
Cathy, Rabbit Hill Farm
Linda & Gail, The Bag Lady
Kristi & Dale, Millstone Winery (cohost)
and
"The Other" Dale with his fabulous Native Art
and special thanks to
Lava Lounge Photography
and Linda Ost
for generously sharing their photos that I
hope to share with you in the next few days!

Please look for them all on Facebook and show
them some LUV!

Wednesday's Words......

Busy - that's a word and that, my friends is what I have been the past few weeks.

Mr. Biff and I are getting ready for a Vintage Fair this Saturday and not only are
we attending but we are co-hosting the fair with a local winery........so lots of prep,
getting vendors, advertising and just getting our own stuff ready!

My words for you today are brought to you by Dale Carnegie.....

"If you want to conquer fear, don't sit
home and think about it.
Go out and get busy."

No fear - I am BUSY.....what are you up to?

Peggy

You can check out the event on my FB page!  If you
live on Vancouver Island - I hope to see you!

I'm still here....

I still can't publish pictures - haven't been able to get an answer from
blogger - it's definitely connected with my blog.  Anyway, I am still
here - working like mad getting ready for our first
 big craft fair next Saturday.

The Painted Pear is co-hosting the event along with Millstone Estate
Winery here in Nanaimo, BC.  Very exciting.  Hoping I will be able
to show you all the cool things we've made for the show.....

Stay tuned - you can't keep a good blogger down.....I'll be back!

Wednesday's Words.....

So I decided last Weds to skip the "wisdom" part of the post title.....it's really
too much pressure.....(hee,hee) to have to be wise once a week!  Instead I
would just rather share the words that are on my mind.....whatever they be.

So here goes today's "words".....

"Once you have seen or heard something - you
CANNOT un-see it or un-hear it".
 ~me~

I use this advice frequently at work and often repeat it to myself when
someone says "hey you wanna know what so&so did?"  Quickly enact
the I can't un-see or un-hear it rule and a pleasant "no thanks" rolls off
your tongue.  It took me a lifetime (literally) to figure this little tidbit
out - I mean that it really works.  I seldom succumb to gossip nor
do I subject myself to the gory or overly sad parts of movies.  This isn't
denial - it's simply choice.  You can totally live without knowing
some stuff - in fact, I'd wager you'll be better off by not knowing.
And yes, maybe my little quote is a knock-off of this:

But, like every other blogger worth her salt - I am also a
professional at "knock-offs"!  (Can you tell I am on vacation and
just a tad loopy?)

So do you think my butt makes these pants look fat?
(See don't ask - you can't un-hear it.....and yes,
I intentionally said that backwards - that's how I roll)

Word out,
Peg
(does anyone say "word out" anymore?)
