Waxing Philosophical....

You know I often title my blog posts with something that tickles my

fancy but may not be the proper use of the term.  Stay with me - don't

let my crazy blog titles scare you away.

  In my head I am clever and

witty.....

I was thinking today my Mom and my Nan - I miss them both and think

of them often.  Now they both lived a good long life so this isn't a sad post. 

What it is really is a little "mini" celebration and testament to how we

live on in our words and deeds.

My Mom and Nan were both famous in our family for being the "Queens

of Quotes".  They had a little adages about just about everything (I had to

look up adage  - see I only think I am clever!)

I find myself as I get older and particularly as a manager in my work

life repeating some of the sayings that drove me nuts as a teenager.  Those

sayings now bring me peace of mind and make me feel wise (thanks Mom!)

What's fascinating to me is how many of those sayings have been lost

(I can tell by the blank stares of my twenty-something staff at work).

I bet you have quotes or sayings that your parents, grandparents or

even you find yourself saying....

Over the coming Tuesday's I would like to share some of those

great reassuring sayings with you - and have you share yours as well.

And maybe create a craft or two using those quotes....

Maybe a new linky party in the making?
